Our base of ministry in Mexico is in the beautiful city of Merida, Yucatan.  It is the capital city of the state of Yucatan and is a rich blend of Latino cultures from various countries - Cuba, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Columbia and others- as well as other states in Mexico.  Additionally, Merida has a huge indigenous population of the Mayan culture, and in rural areas, the lifestyle is similar to 100 years ago, with typical village life. Through Shining His Light Ministries, we serve our Latino family through friendship, compassion, love, encouragement and hope.  We model our ministry as evidence of the kingdom that Jesus preached.  Throughout our 25 years of serving there, God has used us as we train and equip pastors to teach their people, as well as connect with young adults to reach the young people of their cities.  We have truly seen the Lord bring increase to the local churches, as well as those young people that we have mentored.  We lead teams who help serve as the powerful hands of Jesus through ministry.  We don't build buildings, we build people.  Miracles of healing and deliverance are a trademark, as believers are activated in our Lord's family.
