Carlos Galindo founded Proyecto Pan De Vida (Project Bread of Life) in 2013 to serve families living in the garbage dumps of Guatemala City, providing food, hope, and encounters with the love of God. Since then, the ministry has expanded to multiple locations, serving approximately 12,000 meals each month and impacting thousands of children and families across the country.
Carlos and his wife Damaris, along with their children Santiago and Sarita, are based in Alotenango, where they are establishing the Chusito Community Development Center. This hub provides social programs for over 160 families, operates the Superkids Children’s Church for more than 150 children, and hosts Pan de Vida Community Church, offering a space in the heart of the community where the gospel is proclaimed and lives are transformed.
Proyecto Pan De Vida also operates in Jalapa, Jutiapa, and El Porvenir, reaching over 1,200 children and their families. The ministry combines practical care with spiritual support, offering meals, education, mentorship, and community development. Carlos and his team are committed to demonstrating Christ’s love in tangible ways, helping vulnerable communities experience the hope and restoration of the gospel.
