Aleta Serrano is the President of Midwest Food Bank of Pennsylvania. It is estimated that 1 in 8 households in our state suffer from food insecurity. An equally troubling number is the 40% of food that is wasted. To help respond to this need, Midwest Food Bank has established their 11th location here in Harrisburg with Aleta at the helm. In 2024, they are on track to distribute $22-24 million worth of food to people in need.
